SHAKED RAGEV

Shaked has been in the field of cellular agriculture for almost a decade. In 2014, he co-founded The Modern Agriculture Foundation, an Israeli non-profit dedicated to promoting cell-based meat which spearheaded the field in Israel. Shaked supports open research in the field so that researchers can focus on the broader goal instead of appeasing investors.

Shaked holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering and is currently a Ph.D student at the Institute of Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford University. He sees that computational modeling is crucial to lowering experimental costs of cell-based meat. He expects to join the field of cellular agriculture as a computational scientist when he finishes his studies.
