Feeding the Future
The Clean Research collaborative scoped out a viable path to creating scalable, sustainable cell-based fish meat using its deep expertise in fish biology, stem cell engineering, and bioengineering.
We are the first fully transdisciplinary and scientific leadership team ever for cell-based meat. Our experts achieved 211 peer-reviewed publications and 26 patents across five leading research institutions, combining the fields needed to make cell-based meat a commercial reality.
As scientists, we can’t be certain yet that cell-based meat at scale will ever be a reality. Nevertheless, the technology could be a game-changer, if developed correctly. A more open and collaborative approach is the fastest path forward.
